Transport Engineering and Design (TED) consists of an independent cooperation of a large highly qualified team which has experienced - more than 35 years - , at national and international levels, in the fields of civil and transportation engineering, architecture and environmental issues.

The engineer's principal activity consists in creating comprehensive projects including feasibility and outline design, preliminary studies, environmental impact studies, final and construction design, project management, technical control and analysis of execution. 

Engineering & Architecture

TED Engineering realizes projects for transportation systems, such as traditional and high-speed railways, underground and surface metro lines, tunnels, bridges and viaducts, road and highway networks, airports and civil buildings such as rail underground and surface stations, electric substations, power lines (including high-voltage), electric traction systems, data transmission and telecommunications systems (especially for railways), railway schedules, and railway station's track layouts.

Transports Planning

TED Engineering operates specifically in the infrastructure and transportation sectors, which are amongst the main factors of competitiveness in the economic and social system and involve territorial transformation. TED deeply analizes the processes of formation and transformation of the urban area, of the landscape and of its territorial mobility, in order to deal with the strategic planning of complex territorial systems and carries out detailed transportation demand analyses based on local surveys, calibration of the macro and microeconomic demand models and definition of the transferred and induced demand in forecasts of the future, formulation and analysis of alternative scenarios.

Environment

TED Engineering carries out environmental impact studies to determine the effects that a project will have on the surrounding environment, on all the local human activities and the natural resources. TED Engineering conducts a series of extensive analyses of the effects of human intervention on the environment, carrying out a rigorous and detailed study of the impacts, positive and negative, direct and indirect, temporary and permanent, that a project generates on the environment. These studies naturally comply with all EPA and/or UE regulations and current international standards.

Economy & Financing

Thanks to the multidisciplinary experience acquired by TED Engineering's team in the infrastructural development sector TED carries out project financing analysis for funding business initiatives on the basis of the technical and economic value of a transport project which is evaluated through analysis of the operating costs and evaluation of the risks linked to market trends. This leads to a consideration of the value generated by the project within a specific territorial context. TED also carries out evaluations in the ambit of the Public Private Partnership (PPP) system, in order to establish the greatest value from the point of view of both shareholders and the public administration, which has the aim of improving the quality of living and creating social value.
